creating trips
Creating a shopping trip is very easy in flit. First of all you just use flit as usual to visit different sites, search for things, and tag items you like. Then you simply go to the trip editing page where you can add comments, reorder your trip, name it, and also provide your own URL so you get kudos from those who view it (e.g your Facebook page or blog). You can return to the main flit search page to add more store visits. The "edit" link is found in the search trail on the main flit search page. ![]() You can save your trip at anytime by emailing yourself a unique link. That link can be put anywhere on the web, on Facebook, on Twitter and will let people take the trip you created directly. They can even add their comments to yours and send you a new version (the new version will not affect the original). When you click the edit button it takes you to the trip editor. The editor shows a tabular list of the sites you have visited, what you searched for, and what you tagged. You can remove items or change their order by using the buttons on the right. The trip notes column is where you can add comments to each page. You can preview the page and your comments by just clicking the view button. ![]() To add more sites or items just return to flit and jump to more sites. Sites added later like this can be moved earlier in the trip by using the move buttons. An efficient way to create a trip is to first flit around then clean up unwanted items and visits with the editor. To add two visits to the same store and the end of a trip, first jump to another store, then back to the original. This will give you two visits and then you can readily delete the unwanted one. Below is the trip editor page. ![]() Below the list of sites there are additional input boxes where you can name your trip and provide your own URL so you can get kudos for creating the trip. You could for example provide your blog site or your Facebook page. A link to your URL will be shown every time somebody views your trip. At the very bottom of editor page are some tips on producing an effective shopping trip. So, go ahead and share your shopping expertise and style smarts with others! ![]() If you have any questions about creating shopping tours we'd be happy to help you.
